Betrayal is a pretty rotten thing to have done to you. It ranges from having someone tell things they should not to learning that your lover has been unfaithful. No matter what it is that the person has done, it is the violation of trust that is so painful. It is hard to trust someone and when it is broken, it is harder not only to trust that person but to trust anyone. Often, the person who betrayed you was a loved one so not only do you have to pick up the pieces of the broken trust but you also are losing someone you love at the same time. It is a pretty lousy thing to do to someone but we have all done it at one time or another to some extent.
